Terms and Conditions
The message board is open for anyone to use, including people outside the group. However if you want to post messages you will need to register first. Use the board to talk about forthcoming walks, ask or offer lifts, advertise kit for sale, ask for kit advice, post website links, gauge interest for trips, walks or events, or just to put forward a topic for discussion.

If asking or offering lifts please be aware of the security issues - you should only post an email address on the board. If unsure about somebody who contacts you please ask a committee member or the walk leader. Please don't leave telephone numbers.

Although you can use the message board to gauge interest, please do not post social events or walks that have not been first cleared with the walks or social secretaries. We have had a number of occasions where people have organised events without running it past the secretaries and they have clashed with events already in the diary.

Please do not post anything that may offend others - we have a very broad range of people accessing the board and if someone doesn't know you very well it can be easy to offend.

Always post with your real, full name. Any posts under nom-de-plumes or pseudonyms may be deleted. The message board is moderated - messages can be edited and deleted and anyone repeatedly contravening the terms and conditions will be banned from using the board.

If you are offended by a message or wish to report any misuse please contact Webmaster Simon.

NB: We changed to Google Groups on 10th June 2008 - if you want to look at the old message board please click here.
