- This pleasant circular walk explores an area south of Llangollen overlooking Pengwern Vale, a wide U-shaped dry valley that was once the main course of the River Dee. The walk takes you though the edge of attractive Pen-y-coed wood, then on field paths, before climbing steadily on a track high above the valley, with views of the Ceriog Valley and the Berwyns. The walk includes parts of the North Berwyn Way and the Llwybr Ceiriog Trail.
