Welcome

Welcome to Cheshire Walkers - the walking group covering Cheshire and the surrounding area. We have members throughout Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

We organise a selection of walks of various lengths, from short walks in Cheshire to energetic mountain hikes in a variety of locations including the Peak District, North Wales, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. We also organise weekends away and a variety of social events.

If you enjoy the great outdoors and would like to meet new people, and have fun whilst keeping fit then we are the group for you.

Volunteer Footpath Inspectors Needed!

The North and Mid Cheshire Area (of which we are part!) are looking for volunteers from among our membership to help in doing a survey of all the footpaths, bridleways and other public rights of way available to walkers in the North & Mid-Cheshire Area.

The first phase is now starting and we are inviting volunteers to choose a section, walk the rights of way shown on the map and report on any problems found.
